Fluence Monthly Recap: June 2025

The first month of summer usually means slowing down.
Vacations, inboxes on auto-reply, everything just a little quieter.

But not for Fluence.

June was one of our most active months yet, packed with upgrades: protocol mechanics, economic design, and compute infrastructure.
From launching the FLT Buyback Program to publishing a multi-phase AI roadmap and laying the foundation for tokenized real-world compute, we kept shipping while most were switching off.

Let’s recap.

  • Vision 2026 roadmap defined: tokenization, buyback, AI infrastructure, governance
  • Pointless Program launched: staking, tasks, referrals, liquidity all growing
  • Guardians Initiative introduced: decentralized SLA verifiers rewarded in FLT
  • FLT Buyback Program launched: revenue-backed token repurchases
  • AI Roadmap unveiled: GPUs, inference templates, confidential compute
  • RWA Tokenization strategy released: pFLT, stablecoins, NFTs, capacity staking
  • “5 Case Studies” blog shared real-world cost savings via edge compute
  • New partnerships: Tashi, dKloud and more
  • AMAs, Spaces and DePINed Podcasts

Key Updates:

Fluence Vision 2026

Roadmap & Vision 2026

Introduced late May, implemented across community in June.
Vision frames Fluence as the protocol-native compute layer focused on tokenized economics and community governance.
Key Vision Elements:

  • AI compute lifecycle and templates
  • $FLT buybacks and more token utility
  • RWA Tokenization and staking
  • Compute-governed trust via staking models

“We want FLT to reflect real usage, not speculative hype.”
Tom Trowbridge

Pointless Program Launch

  • Staking. Users now earn points by staking $FLT, with rewards scaling based on amount and duration.
  • Tasks. A growing list of on-chain, off-chain, and social tasks enables consistent daily/weekly participation.
  • Referrals. Each verified referral boosts both the referrer’s and referee’s point totals.
  • Liquidity. Providing FLT liquidity on supported DEXes now passively accumulates points over time.
  • Holding. Holding FLT on both the Fluence and Ethereum networks passively accumulates points daily, based on the amount held.

Guardians Initiative

  • Guardian nodes verify provider performance
  • Earn $FLT for signed attestations
  • Enable trustless enforcement of compute agreements

More details: Introducing FLT Guardians

$FLT Buyback Program:

  • Launched revenue-based buybacks of $FLT using network fees
  • ~$581k revenue deployed; ~$6M ARR pipeline; saved >$2M in cloud costs

More details: $FLT Buyback Program

AI Roadmap: Building Neutral Compute

  • Three-phase roadmap: GPU nodes (Q3 2025), inference templates (Q4), confidential compute pilots (Q4–Q2’26)
  • Introduced Guardians Initiative for distributed SLA verification

More details: The Road to AI

RWA Tokenization Roadmap

Outlined real-world asset token mechanics:

  • pFLT-backed stablecoins
  • Lending markets for unvested positions
  • NFTs for compute capacity
  • Capacity commitment staking model
