Fluence Monthly Recap: April 2025

April was a memorable month for the Fluence Network. The team published the Q1 2025 Fluence DAO report with a full breakdown on strategic spending and long-term focus for the Fluence DAO. Community AMAs and Podcast, and the team’s preparation for the anticipated DePIN Day Dubai. Here’s a look at all the updates:

TLDR:

  • Fluence DAO Q1 Report
  • Partnerships: DePIN Union and ROME by Rivalz
  • The DePIN Pledge grows stronger
  • DePINed Podcast latest episodes
  • FLT delisting from Bybit
  • AMAs and media interviews
  • Token2049 and DePIN Day Dubai highlights

Fluence DAO Q1 Report

In the first quarter, Fluence DAO deployed 5 million FLT to Cloudless Labs for staking and set aside 10 000 USDC for listing costs, all while preserving healthy buffers of 376.9 million FLT and nearly 7 million USDC.

Unused liquidity—8.33 million FLT—was reclaimed from GSR, and new liquidity pools comprising 16.3 million FLT and 270 000 USDC are now being actively managed by Arrakis and Studio B, with 16.3M FLT and 270K USDC deployed across new pools. These pools are structured for resilience and adaptability.

This disciplined, forward-looking strategy is anchored by transparent reporting of a 104 million FLT circulating supply (10.5 % of the total). Fluence DAO continues to show what it means to scale with intent in a space where signal must be clear.

Partnerships & Platform News

Source: DePIN Union

We are excited to announce a partnership with DePIN Union, a DePIN insight and collaborative platform for builders. This partnership amplifies the shift toward sovereign infrastructure, empowering builders to run workloads in a trustless, resilient environment.

Fluence joins Rivalz's ROME Swarm Protocol. Swarm staking introduces a new layer where users contribute resources, expand the network, and earn rewards, supporting scalable, open infrastructure. Fluence will power this usecase with compute that brings real capability.

Grateful to Delphi Digital for highlighting Fluence in their DePIN ecosystem breakdown as one to watch, and with good reason. We're proud to be among the projects pushing the boundaries of DePIN.

Important Info

Following the ByBit hack and subsequent token delistings, FLT has been removed from the ByBit exchange, with deposits ceasing after April 28, 2025, 8AM UTC, and withdrawals ending by July 28, 2025, 8AM UTC.

Despite this, Fluence’s fundamentals remain robust and FLT's TVL is steadily growing month-on-month. FLT remains actively traded on platforms like Gate.io, Uniswap, and MEXC, as the team is gearing up to ship it's first Cloudless product very soon.

DePINed Podcast: Decentralized Ideas in Motion

Throughout April, we released four new DePINed podcast episodes, each with a unique view on physical networks and compute.

Ep. 48, “Decentralized Network for Renewable Energy

Fluence co-founder Tom Trowbridge hosted Konstantin Tkachuk, CEO and co-founder of Titan Network to discuss how Titan Network is powering real-world use cases — including CDN services for TikTok — and taking a customer-first approach that challenges the norms of crypto-native infrastructure.

Ep. 49, “Crowdsourced Location, Verified Data & DePIN at Scale

Fluence co-founder Tom Trowbridge hosted Markus Levin, co-founder of XYO.  From cryptographic location proofs to on-demand data requests, XYO has been quietly building one of the most active decentralized infrastructure networks in the world.

Ep. 50, “Cyber-Resilient Storage and Real Yield: Protocol Deep Dive

Fluence co-founder Tom Trowbridge hosted Patrick Dunlop, co-founder of Jackal Protocol, to explore what it takes to build a decentralized storage network that’s fast, secure and enterprise-ready.

Ep. 51, “Decentralizing HD Maps for Autonomous Vehicles & AI

Fluence co-founder Tom Trowbridge hosted Guang Ling, founder of Rovr Network, to explore how crowdsourced 3D data and LiDAR-powered devices could unlock a new layer of spatial intelligence for the real world.

The DePIN Pledge Grows Stronger

Source: Edge Network

We’re proud to share that Edge Network has become a member of the DePIN Pledge.

Edge Network is built on open access, economic fairness, and decentralized AI to shape AI and DeCloud. Clemens Wan from Consensys also backs the DePIN Pledge, he draws attention to DIN’s mission: delivering performant, decentralized infrastructure like RPC services without centralized blockers.

For Web3 to carry real weight, it must be built on permissionless, resilient infrastructure.

Token2049 Highlights

Hack Seasons Conference:

Our co-founder, Tom Trowbridge, joined a panel hosted by MPost Media Group at Token2049 week to discuss scaling the AI & DePIN synergy for the masses.

Our co-founder, Evgeny Ponomarev, also joined another panel to discuss the reason why cost-focused teams continue turning to DePIN networks for affordable GPU cycles, despite easing hardware scarcity and generous cloud credits.

Staking Summit:

The Fluence team was present at the Staking Summit to share how Fluence leverages Web3 to scale powerful, cost-efficient deployments with the Staking community. It was also a good opportunity to network with builders at the booth.

DePIN Day Dubai

Dubai 🇦🇪called, and Fluence answered. DePIN Day events are designed to foster discussions around the latest trends, challenges, and future prospects in the DePIN industry. This edition took place during Token2049 week, from keynotes to AI panels and Investor panels.

We also appreciate our amazing partners Neuron, Impossible Cloud Network, Beamable, iExec, Mawari, Spexi, StorX, XYO Network, and Entropy. We had the rare opportunity to connect and meet our amazing builders IRL. Stay tuned for our DePIN Day Summary.

AMAs & Interviews That Brought the Community Closer

What if you could earn tokens from everyday devices by helping build the next internet? Our co-founder Tom Trowbridge joins Untangling Web3 to unpack DePIN, where tokens connect with real-world infrastructure while keeping Big Tech out of the equation.

Our BD Lead, Justin Jose joined a riveting AMA with DePIN Union to discuss real-world DePIN adoption and the future of physical infrastructure.

Coindesk featured our co-founder, Tom Trowbridge, in an article by CoinDesk, in which he explained how DePIN operates more like Airbnb than Ethereum: low overhead, real customers, and tokens tied to actual economic output.

Our co-founder, Tom Trowbridge, was also featured on a podcast with DePIN Hub’s Hotspotty. He shared insight into how Fluence is building a decentralized compute platform that skips unreliable consumer nodes and begins with enterprise-grade data centers.
